Throughout the month of August, the city of Pigeon Forge initiates “Celebrate Freedom”, where many businesses offer discounts to current and former military personnel as well as currently employed emergency personnel/first-responders.

There are additional displays of patriotism and reverence for current and former military staff throughout the city and month as well – decorations and theater shows will add tributes to their entertainment/performances, resorts like Smoky Mountain Resorts will hold special events and we can expect a “Welcome Home Veterans” parade toward the end of the month.
